One big pocket for the lace and a small pocket for the jewelry. It could be me, but I think these come up exceptionally big, perhaps to make room for the extra tongue. The grey tongue is the 'option'. I kept it on because I think the blue is a bit too bright for me (even though no one ever sees the tongue)
