The Scandinavian layout of PC keyboards differs from the rest of the world as we have some special keys for additional characters (like å/Å, ä/Ä and ö/Ö). Anyways, I can get "€" by ALT GR + e or ALT GR + 5/%.
For UK PCs, I think the combination is ALT GR + 4/$, depending whether you have ALT GR key.
