Last night went to the Senior Awards Banquet at my son's highschool.
It was a pretty cool evening, my son got a couple academic awards and one for his community service and participation with Special Olympics.
It's funny how things work, he was actually pissed off when we left the banquet...
When they awarded the Athletic award for Volleyball he didn't get it and felt very slighted. HE played Varsity for 3 years and was the captain and leading scorer/MVP in his Junior and Sophmore year. This year he decided not to play ont he high school team because he had too much stuff going on... So they gave the award to someone else. He was not happy... I told him, "I guess you should've played your Sr. year, huh?" He found it less than amusing. I thought it was funny though.
