Well, I did the shoe horn first, which has a deep etching on it, and it was fine, so didnt even think to check if the back plate was etched. More fool me probably, but agreed, very fuckin weak.....
.... Brass tarishes, so needs cleaning, simple... But maybe they just expected people to throw the boxes away????
