It is about confidence as well but that comes from mastering or even learning NLP.
I'd have said it's very similar to Jedi mind tricks.
You suggest things in such a way that the subject 1. thinks it's a good idea and 2. thinks it's their idea !
Bish bash bosh, they do what you want them to do.
It's all a bit dark and can be used for less scrupulous purposes.

Mmmh am going to sign up for it next time the course is put on. I dont think al get the jedi trickery but it should be good by all accounts.
