Thanks everyone for your warm welcome.

There's a difference between a Marine and a Soldier. I earned the title "Marine" so as to separate myself from the other forces. An example:
Here we are Marines, in our Marine Corps. There they are Soldiers in the Army.
It doesn't offend me but calling say Sgt. Major, "hey there Soldier" it would def rub him the wrong way. The correct way would be "hey there Marine"
Curious, anyone else in here prior service?
