Ok, let me state very clearly that this is in no way personal and is just a general observation. It’s also just a bit of tongue-in-cheek fun as I’m bored at work so please don’t take it seriously or be offended but…
Whenever I’m looking through the “Today I’ll mostly be wearing†threads it never ceases to amaze me just how bad some of the jeans that our American members are willing to sport. Don’t take this the wrong way guys but your taste in jeans is mostly in the category that I call “Dad Denim†You know the type, all really heavily stonewashed to hell and back, nasty skinny threads on the seems and just long enough to reach the shoe with no gathering or turn up at the bottom, the kinda shit that only ya Dad would rock over here in the UK. I mean you all have faultless taste in footwear, choose a great looking shoe, spend ages considering the right laceflip for it, maybe add a jewel, always keep ‘em boxfresh and tidy but then go and mash it up by teaming them with some wack lookin cheap-ass denim selection! Wha' gwaan?
I’m sure they’re not and that it’s just a cultural thing, you guys like a different style to us, same as a lot of you don’t rock turn ups either. But it did make me wonder, do you guys look at us and think “Man, those Brits with their funny…†So, and this is open to everybody wherever you are, are there any other funny cultural differences between countries that you’ve noticed? Does anyone have any habits you find a bit odd? Let’s keep it friendly and general though eh, no personal attacks!
Careful not to stereotype too much
Honestly I don't see what you're referring to in the soop picture thread. I wear Lucky Brand Jeans, which is a designer brand made in California. Usually run around $100 - $200 a pair. Haven't had denim bleed at all with them either.
I don't like my jeans too baggy, like Farmer is saying, good style here is generally considered to be wearing clothes that fit.
Shouldn't we be payin' more attention to the soops though anyway?
btw just saw your Wrangler reference. I think that you are wayyyyyyy off here...very few people wear these. I would run around in spandex before I wore a pair of Wranglers...lol
