Bit of a development here fellas.
I've found a jewellery caster who is prepared to cast in non precious metals.
I'm meeting up with him on monday but I reckon we'll be looking at less than £4 a pair for aluminium depending on the length of the run, size, weight and set up costs.

He can also do steel and brass.

Now that sounds like a great price!!! By the way, when you say aluminium I take it they will look 'silver' or will they be 'treated' so they get the same golden look as the consortium lace tags?

Funny you should say that, the process is called anodizing and I'm looking into that even as we speak.
Should be able to do different colours.
Extra costs involved naturally.
Powder coating is another option available.
