Hello. What an awesome site. I just stumbled on it. I am building a RUN DMC shadow box and I am trying to collect pieces that best represent vintage RUN DMC.
I am looking for one of the leather tracksuit tops that they wore in the 80's. I think it was a superstar suit but I am new to all of this technology.
I am only framing it and will never be wearing it. I could have any size or color.
What would probably be best for me would to find one that is damaged somewhere because I can hide a few defects in my display and save a few bucks.
Any Ideas?? I have some cool items to trade.

Well this is a Superstar forum.. celebrating and enjoying all that is shell toed. Your best bet for the RUN DMC stuff you're after is Ebay..

Appreciate what you doing, JMJ & Run DMC are truly legends BUT and its a big but! Cant see people offering up pieces in exchange for stuff because these jackets are sought after, unless you got mega $$$$$'s but then i am guessing if you did, you would be able to buy what you need anyway. Good luck but I wouldnt hold much hope.......!

please excuse me for sounding so ignorant but i have only ben searching out these leather jackets for like three days....it sounds like you guys have confirmed the rarity of this item but my question is this? does the jacket pop up like once a month somewhere for sale or like once a year? what would the expected price range be if i do find one? i am guessing from $400 us to $1000 us depending on condition.
i was hping to find one in this forum that wa willing to sell one that is maybe damaged...that would really suit my immediate need.

Heres ya best bet "ebay" worldwide look under "adidas run dmc" and "adidas leather" if there gonna pop up for ya they'll be in there.
