I can understand using Text speak when texting, as space is a premium but why use it when you have as much space as you need? I think it is chaotic and confusing mostly , but i am old and a misery!

Im worried that soon youngsters wont have any grasp on how to write properly without using text speak and so much of it is ridiculous and may only reduce a word by one letter!
Its bad enough that most of or yoof cannot even speak properly! I swear down?!!!

I don't think it's a case of soon, mostly they can't write properly now.
I reckon some of the younger members on here the exception rather than the rule.

I have no idea mate! The other one i love is where everything is "like" sumfing and is used every third or fourth word!
Your right its not everyone but it is in the majority from what i have seen and heard, it does worry me that our Language both written and spoken is being butchered.

Yeah i do have a very bad habit of putting capitals where they arent supposed to be! My boss often returns my mails to me pointing this out. I cant help It!
As a kid i would only write in capitals as i thought it looked much neater and was easier for others to read.
I will try checking my postings before clicking on the Post button!
