No special connections. Won them on eBay. Bonus was that the seller somehow managed to list them on eBay.com rather than eBay in Germany so they weren't appearing in EU eBay searches so managed to cop cheap. Noticed their PayPal email was an adidas email account so got nosey and asked.

I won't be unlacing them in a hurry though, despite the fact that the laces aren't mirror overlapped and it's driving me nuts. These stay as they came. £400 for some Top Secrets? Maybe. £1000 for a pair I know I'll never wear? Fuck that. But...if someone else decides that's what they want to spend their hard earned on, I'm all good. I'll tell you why. There's been more than a just a couple of people who've joined this forum and gone off guns blazing scooping up every Supe ever made in a matter of weeks before disappearing up their own arseholes, never to be seen again. Their impulse purchases almost always end up on the bay a few months later. They never ever sell for what they paid for them and we end up with some cracking bargains as they desperately accept our low-ball offers trying to recoup some of the money they've spunked on buying shoes trying to impress internet friends . Everyone's a winner.

I've learnt a lot in a short space of time though and my opinions have changed in many respects. I'm sure your buddies haven't mentioned the fact that I've probably proxied a dozen pairs for people overseas, given hundreds of heads ups to people when I spot rare pairs in their size. I'm contributing to the shell-toe database by submitting photos of my collection.

I understand I've rubbed a couple of people up the wrong way but hey you live and learn and how other people react when you make a mistake says more about them than you as far as I'm concerned.

For someone who's anti-social media you seem to know a lot about my Facebook activities. Well someone else's perceptions of them anyway...

As for the Mean Girls reference. You definitely have your inner circle here. Those who have been around a long time and weathered the storm seem to think it's perfectly acceptable to pick on the n00bs.

I'll admit, the fucktards that wander in asking stupid questions gets old pretty quickly. That happens in the other playground too and I'm certainly no saint when it comes to flaming a fartknuckle who doesn't know how to use google.

However, when you make digs about someone who has simply found a real passion for collecting supes and gone super crazy buying up 80 pairs in a little over 12 months, saying I'll never wear them and shit like that, you sound like a 14 year old girl who's had her boyfriend stolen by the new girl at school.

I'm basically a solid UK11/5-12.5 in most things. If you aren't the same size, what I buy and at what frequency should be of no consequence. Who gives a shit if I occasionally ask for opinions about what colour laces look better? It's just an opportunity to make conversation and get to know people's opinions and show off your latest pick up. I'm not doing it here so what's your problem?
