OK, I have given them the once over with Jason marxx and they have come up a lot better than expected, I dunno... maybe white lace would brighten them up a little, the inside and the soles are in great condition, it's just the faded part and the missing rubber that's bugging me.

My neighbour went to an outlet today and brought me these for only € 28,- (last pair). I allways thought that they were really dark brown/black with red stripes but they are just brown with orange/light brown stripes (u can't see it on the pics). I absolutely love them, I still needed a brown pair. I don't really like the stripes on the inside but who cares, you won't see them.

I went into the Maxx today and they didn't have men's shoes at all. and the adidas outlet was useless. I did save $70 on a new pair of asics 2150, though.
