hey i'm roman from australia. i didn't know a place for superstar obsessives existed, i thought it was all about nike, lad to know i'm not alot hah. ok so i became obsessed with adidas originals in 1999, more specifically, black originals with white soles and stripes. sorry to say my obsession was sparked by the drummer from the metal band Slipknot, who i saw sporting a pair of black superstar (2's i THINK, due to the thicker white tongue) with a white sole and toe. this is where my story gets heartbreaking, i was only 12 years old at the time when i actually found the black/white ones in stores in my exact size, the last pair. my mum didn't let me get them and i thought i'd never find them again after literally calling every adidas stockist in my state.

5 years later i walked into an english brand clothing store and to my amazment found the same shoe, same size that i needed this time round, and again the last pair. i didn't have my wallet with me so i went back 2 days later... well... by then the store was converted into a Wheels and Dollbaby store.

i have since obtained a pair of superstar 2's in black/white with white sole and toe, but i am led to believe they are fakes (i'll post about that later).

anyway... i am still looking for a legit pair of black/white with white sole and toe superstars 2s, although i don't even know if thats possible

appologies if this isn't the correct place to continue this topic, i have searched ebay numerous times for these and i can't find them there or on any website. any help would be amazing. i'm looking (what an understatement) for a pair of Adidas Superstar 2 in black/white (but with white toe and sole, NOT all black with white stripes). they have a white tongue, unlike the black tongue on the SS1.

i've attached the only pictures i can find of the shoes i am looking for. they are basically the easy to find adidas ss2 in black but with a white sole, toe and tongue.

thanks in advance, and appologies if the topic has to be moved, i will open another thread if necissary.

ps. i will take pics of my fake ss1 black ones from shell-toes tomorrow, although i have bought 2 pairs at different times, and the first pair appear authentic in every way, but the 2nd pair i am pretty sure are fake. which is really confusing.

So are the stripes meant to be black or white, cuz if theyre white like in those pics then you could find them pretty easily.

they are black with white stripes, sole, toe, heel, and tongue. im not sure if they have metal lace holes or not or if they have the front lace bead thing or not. still no luck

With everything but the white tongue is easy to find.

Anybody else feeling like we're starting to do someone else's leg work for them ?
