My collection - DoublePromo - 18-02-10

Not a whole lot compared to some of you, but I got a few pair:

Superstar 1 (I love these because of the dingy shell)

Rod Laver
Stan Smith (clear sole)
Samba
Tennis
Tennis Royal
Forest Hills
Tennis Super Consortium (bought four pair because they were that hard to find)

I've never been into Adidas with different color soles and / or colorways; I prefer to keep it simpler. The other 40+ pair of sneakers I have that aren't Adidas - that's a different story (and for another message board). The reason for the four pair of Consortiums, other than the fact that I like them a lot, is that it took me so long to get the first pair, that getting a few pair ensured that I'll have a pair to wear for years. My other Adidas "vice" has been getting Adidas soccer / rugby / golf shirts (another expensive habit). But I really do appreciate the fact that a message board such as this exists.

In casy you're not familiar with the Adidas Consortium line - the Adidas design team uses unique materials to construct a very limited series of sneakers including retro models, and are limited to only 350 pair of each model. That's what makes them limited, plus the fact that hardly any Adidas stores actually carry the Consortium line - they are made for specialty stores (like Harput, ALife, Hanon Shoes, Pick Your Shoes, etc). I've never been one to want to wear the same ole' sneakers that you'll see most people wear - I like to seek out unique and limited run sneakers too. So again, why four pair? Because I want to ensure that I'll have a pair to wear for the next 20+ years. I'll get about five years worth from each pair. Here's a closer look at them (and the Tennis Royal):
