Look.. I'm a cock! - Adolf Dassler - 16-02-09

I am brand new to this community. I would like to join in some of the discussions from time to time. I didn't really think I had a problem with my shoe addiction until quite lately. I purchased a pair of the Adidas 35th Anniversary Top Secret #35. I now admit I have a problem. I have about 20 pairs of adidas brand new, in the box and another 10 that I wear.

I joined here so that I would cut down on my trolling for information about these beautiful shoes that I collect. I figure that there is a wealth of knowledge here that could be tapped and I might be able to help someone out at some point too...

For those of you who don't recognize the name I am using, please check it out through google or wikipedia. I was quite shocked to find that the name was still available.

Anyone that would like to contact me in the future can do so through my personal email: [email protected] or on here, as I am sure to frequent this forum for years to come.

If anyone would like to help me out in the verification of my #35 Top Secrets as authentic or would like help verifying other shoes as authentic, I'd be glad to help, as I know many shoes out there are fakes, knock offs or as the peddler would refer to them, "replicas."

Thank you,
Jay Roveda

Erm.. I think the reason no one has used the name is that we have a bit of respect? Confused

Welcome tho'.

Hope you wear your 20 pairs that you have boxed.. bit of a waste otherwise don't you think..

Welcome Dassler, I have had a look at your 35th and they look lagit to me. I was going to buy a pair myself but the price could not be justified.

Anyway welcome and please post pics of your collection. Thats the next step after introduction. Very Happy

Much respect Streak. The name was chosen out of respect. I figured that if I must have the Holy Grail of adidas shoes, I should have an appropriate name to represent. Like I said, Much Respect...

The 20 I still have in the boxes have not been worn yet. A couple pairs are duplicates, so that when the ones I wear are ruined, I have another set to replace them. Some of the others are collectors shoes or shoes that I am waiting for the matching apparel to arrive before I sport them.

Again, I didn't mean any offense.

I will post some pics of my collection on here when I get some time.

Thanks for reading!

Welcome Jay.
I think we've got about 10 members with the 35th shoe, so you're far from unique on that front.

Wow! 10? This is great! I'd like to start a discussion with them. I am sure there is a lot more I could learn about these shoes...

Thank you for having me here...
