Cheers fellas, the guy has been good as gold to be honest so I thought they should be ok.

Was a bit worried since the old I bid to 500 quid then say "that's enough" and all of a sudden the guy who outbid me pulled out and so I got the highest bid trick was being pulled but he seems like a genuine seller who has sold some pretty rare kicks before.

I'll send payment on Friday, unless someone comes up with a good reason not to in the meantime!

That does sound like shenanigans.
You should have checked back and seen where the guy pulled out, came in.
That is the price you should have been offered, not the price below the winning bid.
