There's certainly a lot of different things going on in that one shoe. Looks like 5 different people with 5 very different ideas all had some input in the design. Shockingly shit. It's wackness like that which has made me be coming home with way more red boxes than blue boxes lately...

It's a supe, and that's about the only positive thing I can say about it. Damn they're ugly...

you know, all joking aside, there really hasn't been much released lately that has intrigued me, and i have matured a bit too unlike before where despite the crap that was being released i still felt compelled to get em; case in point, no desire to aquire these.
i don't recall, but maybe some of you vets can confirm or deny; were the releases as stagnant as it has been in the run up before the 35ths? what i'm getting at here (prolly wishful thinkin) that maybe adidas has pulled there best tallent to work on a 40th drop? maybe? cause c'mon, lets be honest, they sure the hell weren't on the new star wars collab. i am a huge star wars fan, i usually get excited on star wars releases, and even though it's general release stuff, i'm not the least bit impressed. the new star wars stuff reminds me of the over use of the license stuff that always hits when the new 'blockbuster' drops and these are what you would see at payless in the kids section and eventually down at the cherry auction. put me in my place if i'm wrong, but thats how i feel.

I think they have just ran out of ideas and rather than reissuing nice simple colourways they like to try and play with the structural design where possible (colorblocks, soles etc).
But you have to consider that maybe they sell well....these are the kind of things the kids like these days, and while we (collectors) obviously have the best taste, a comparatively small group cant influence the design over sales/profit. They've been putting out shit for ages so it kind of suggests that they are selling ok in footlocker / jd etc.

i`m not sure that this is the calm before the storm. i just think that adidas should listen us more. but i think that`s to simple. lets hope if they are gonna put out a 40th anniversary. lets hope its cool`n`the gang.

please tell me where these and other journey/footlocker (insert mall chain here) are sellin, i'm not seeing it. i have been back from texas for a year and as there in cali too you go to any city that has one of those chains and you see they still have stocks of thos pac-man prints, the vegas ones with cards and dice, the hollywood star ones in both black and white, and on and on. loads of em, and now they're showing up in marshal and ross bins for under $20. granted the economy may be playing a bit in this but that hasn't ment that peoples tastes have lowered too. i am bouncing back and forth between LA and the bay area here in cali and i know i'm gettin old cause i see these kids and i'm shakin my head but i'm not seein kids dress like that; two huge mecas of style in the US, i don't have kids but i have neices and nephews for miles and they don't dress like that. in my opinion this is when adidas sneeds to quick dorkin around and experimentin and focus on what works; those black and green 80s, the vin that was like the kegler.
