I have to agree with Pokey, if you want to do orange stripe customs, an all-white non-yellowed Superstar is probably the best way to go.

I'm with you pokey which is why I asked the question. I'd have said go for it with all white soles, but the peachy didn't seem right. The... er...custom image has made my mind up.
