Oh my its all been going off here then!
Beastie Boys vs Kanye West?!! Thats a no brainer there aint no contest. I would put Kanye West in the Hip Pop genre as he is so mainstream not Hip Hop in my mind?
Its all down to an individuals taste which is right but this is a Superstar forum so for a lot of us Hip Hop/Electro etc played an enormous part in our growing up and so the Beasties are right up there with the best of 'em. Very clever guys who have a great ear for a tune/beat/sample and some amazing lyrics to back it all up with.
Its probably your age Brad but i think you need to go back and listen to the Old School stuff, the good shit! Do your homework!

I think that would be a popular thread Woody! I certainly would contibute to it with my scathing opinions of these muppets!
The only credible artist that Brad mentioned was the ledgendary Dre. Which is a shame as there is so much good stuff out there to listen to.

Well Im not going to argue with you incase i get more warnings!!!
Beastie boys are fantastic!!!! I wish i could have gone to that concert and Mr p i apologise for being rude and abrasive!!! please accept my warmest apology. I have learnt my lesson.
Its extremely pleasing to me that i have been called names yet these people get away with it!!!

We all went to the regular show but as part of the same mini tour, the Beastie Boys are doing Gala events, where they are asking people to dress up a bit.

Fix up, look sharp !
