Two mins after dicovering I had a tax rebate on its way I found out some bloody waste of air has knicked my bank details from an ATM scam and fucked me for two grand, plus my wank bank is doing f all to chase the payments from the loan company that the fraudsters used to draw funds. The buggers even gave a different name and address to the card number and still got the money??? Ended going to the financial ombudsman and the police, now will have to wait and see if I get refunded. Also had to pay for credit report to check if my ID has been used to set up more bogus accounts. BE AWARE PEOPLE.
Very Sad Benji.

Ouch, gutted for you mate. I'd be wanting to crack some skulls if that happened to me. I'm sure there must be somebody on here who can offer you some sound advise regarding getting YOUR green back.

I have my card cloned while i was out in Australia (clone happened back in England) I got all the money back from that. its the banks fault, they are supposed to look after it, so if someone else knicks it, they owe you mate

The bank told me they won't enter into disputes with loan companies and that I have to chase the loan company for a refund. The FSA and the Police see it differently. I hope the evil bitch who dismissed my call earlier feels what it is like to be the victim of fraud and told to sort it out by yourself. Why the fuck they authorised the payments I don't know. Fuck Barclays.

That's proper shite Benji, I used to work with someone that had a similar thing happen to them and they refused to pay out because they said as the fraudster knew all their details it must of been a friend or family, that was Barclays as well.
Happened to me a few years ago, some cunt face in the states donated 1500 of my hard earned money, they could of at least brought something! Nationwide were fantastic and refunded me within the week, it was them who noticed and contacted me. I think Barclays are generally crap, I had a charge on my Barclay card that I didn't know what it was, rang them up and they told me to google it, most helpful, twats

Start a small claim against them.
They'll pay up in no time.

COOP tried to fuck me over buildings insurance a few years ago when my late mums house flooded, they had cancelled her cover when the direct debits stopped because she had died and her accounts had frozen, we had no access until after probate - so had no idea what payments had been made. We phoned them to give them our details as executors and they did not get in touch, they just cancelled the account. After the flood they wouldn't pay up and denied thay had heard from us. WE HAD A FUCKING LETTER confirming they had, so filed a complaint with the FO and they were suddenly fucking helpful. I will sort this out with Barclays and switch banks.
Thanks all, and I will take them to court if I have to.
