I've never done it fella.
It was meant to be a practical joke but it's been over analysed now.
I pictured someone with itchy nuts remembering this and have a go with the toothpaste.
The itchyness would go but it'd be replaced by a minty burning feeling.

I was gonna say that if it is anything like that Mint Source showergel you can get i will give it a miss as that was a bit strong and made my eyes water when i came to clean downstairs!
