come home from the pub last night to no power - evidently a big part of the west side of Toronto got knocked out. So that's no heat and -20 or so degree weather. Fkng lovely.
Not due to be back on until later today.

Hope you've warmed up a bit Zwer!

unfortunately, no. power still isn't on at home and I think we're below -20 outside. Power might not be on until 10pm and there's a chance I could miss the start of the new, last season of battlestar galactica.
actually thinking about going to a hotel tonight.

Nightmare, it's bad enough when it's warm outside.

yeah, it's pretty brutal. a co-worker's fish froze to death earlier today.
the worst bit is that when the looting starts tonight there's nothing good in my neighbourhood to hit. Unless I want a year's supply of kielbasa or some vintage clothing.

Why, did it go out without it's jacket ?
I'll get me coat !
Second thoughts, I hate it when a mate comes round for an evening of gaming and for the first time in it's life, I get the Xbox circle of Death !

A bit random but I read an article recently that a fish froze in an outdoor pond, owners thought it was dead so once it thawed left it in the yard for the cat. Few minutes later the guy looked out the window and it was flapping about and back to normal. So maybe when your mates fish thaws Lorrie it'll be OK!
I've had that ring of cuntyness once, and as annoying as it was, was dead easy getting it sorted, had it back within a week and that was just before christmas too.
