Get it done on Friday and heed your Doc's words of "...just lay in bed all weekend and not do a single thing strenuous other than walking to and from the restroom...".  It's the one weekend in your married life that your wife has to truly tend to you 24/7 and treat you like a King.  You just need to lay down and take it easy all weekend and the healing process is smooth sailing.  My bro learned the hard way (Mr. Tough Guy I'm good and will work around the house on Sunday) and his healing process took over a week due to swelling and resulting pain.  Enjoy the weekend. Watch football all weekend.  Flip on the PS3 and squeeze in some FIFA at halftime and in between matches.  You should be good to go on Monday morning
