It's like a canvas, maybe nylon? It's very sturdy like the leather as well. These are very comfortable and seem to be slightly larger (the shell seems larger as well) than normal SS2's. My wife thinks they're my coolest pair.

@ pure. Yeah they pick about the worst lyric possible from MM. Had to be a bit difficult picking lyrics to use considering his best lyrics contain more than a bit of profanity and violent imagery!
