damn... I had no idea what the W word meant in the UK, sorry boys n girls.

but yeah, as Nik said, it was aimed at european settlers by the anglo-australians back in the day and it has been made a lot more casual and somewhat standard word down here.

it's not really offensive down here now except for when someone says it in anger.

but yeah, I honestly had no idea that it was such an offensive word and meant something totally different over there so I'm genuinely sorry guys

I kinda guessed that there was some sort of 'lost in translation' issue here. Hence me asking what the word meant in Oz!
I doubt anyone on this forum would knowingly use a racist term.
