No the picture before showed frosted toes soles, the ones i recieved had 6 eyelets.
My originals have 7 eyelets.

Well, you should have a case then as the seller didn't send you the model that was advertised. Have you tried getting a refund through eBay or PayPal?

Good luck mate!

I don't think Paypal will help i brought the trainers ages ago, only recently got round to wearing them.
I'll let you know how i get on with the seller.LATEST was in touch with the seller via phone explained that i wasn't happy and detailed the differences between the real watermelons and the fakes he has promised to investigate and get back to me next week.
We will see......................... Rolling Eyes

update from seller - lorre - 12-01-07

The seller is now hinting that there are 2 versions 1998 and 2002 i still believe 100% that the pair i purchased of Ebay fall well below the standard Adidas would ever release.
I feel the seller is looking for a way out and need some clarification from someone who knows about the history of Watermelons any help would be greatly appreciated.
THANKS Embarassed

Only the black and red ones were efered to as Watermelons.
They are called Clears or CLR.
He's a lying backsheesh.

Thanks for the name info.
I've checked the dates on the inside of the tongues and the Ebay version is 05/02 and my original pair is 04/02, so even if the was a 1998 and 2002 would Adidas completly change the design in a month? i personaly don't think so, i'll just wait for the seller to get back to me with some more reasons why his stock is so bogus sorry i meant (Genuine) HA HA Wink

- mr.pure - 13-01-07

I've got a genuine rose pair beside me and they say 10/02.
They definitely didn't come out before 2002.

- lorre - 13-01-07

Thanks Sir pure are you 100% sure about the year? because the seller has the gift of the gab. Wink

- mr.pure - 13-01-07

Tell him to get bent.
They came out in 2002 end of.
Just checked and my watermelons are 05/02 and my other pair of roses are 07/02.
Can't find me blues or me browns but they will definitely say 02.
Have 'im.

Just read through this thread, and what I don't understand is... the ones you bought are different, and from a different seller, than the ones you were originally asking about.

Yeah seems like it sorry for all the confusion, but thanks to everyone for all the help. Wink

I reported Hewsonator early last year to ebay and gave his name to Adidas UK , i guess that doesnt surprise me that he is still up to his old tricks - Typical.
