What a nightmare. Glad you managed to take action and recover most of your stuff. Good work.

Anyone try to insure their soops? I did when I moved, but the agent wasn't having it.

Your skills getting them arrested would be enough for me, I wouldn't want the Supes back knowing scum had walked in them.

Yes, it could have been a lot worse. I'm still debating on cleaning up the Supes and even trying to get them back to near mint state to even wear again. But like you said and what I even thought to myself, gangster scum have worn them. I've been fumigating them with Febreze and other air freshners and sanitizers. They'll probably end up being nice beaters for doing yardwork and other dirty work.... a sad day indeed.

Thanks everyone for your kind words and taking the time to read the story. I shared the long story in hopes of putting some thought into your own collection and habits at home such as tidiness and data backup and serial #'s.

Yes, gangsters lack a sense of taste. I was surprised too that they chose the models that they did. Afterall, they were Norteno gangsters and they wear red everywhere on their body that they can.... belts, shoelaces, hats, bandanas, sport wristbands and the like. So only two pairs had red on them. The all whites... well... everyone likes a pair of all whites. But I had several other pairs that had red on them that they didn't take.... whew. I just really miss my skates Sad I need a replacement pair in US9 if anyone is willing to trade or sell or even find me a pair!!!!

Realy like the point you found the burglars by "their" supes.

Hope you sort out all the insurances.

There's no evidence yet that they are the burglars of my home. Even though we got four sets of good prints on some of the electronics that they grabbed and didn't take with them, it takes 3 - 4 months to get results of prints back. It's nothing like what you see on TV with CSI and Criminal Minds. The four punk gangsters have all been arrested for possession of stolen goods. And here in the USA and in California for sure, juveniles get off pretty easy on crimes that they commit. All four of these chumps were out of juvenile hall either the very next day or the second day.... and with mere ankle bracelets on them to track their whereabouts. Some arrest that is.

Insurance? Eh, well, I have a high deductible, so I probably won't even file a claim, since I have over half of my stuff back.

Pheeww ... what a story. That's a nightmare when people break into your house and steal your property. Glad you're all safe and you got back half the things they've stolen.

And thanks for the tipps mate. Hopefully I never come in a situation like this but will try to take pics of all my shoes and will also mark them somehow.

If I see a pair of these skates I will give you a heads up. UK8.5 right?

Wow. Great story with a not all that bad ending... considering. Good work on your part, man. Hope they nail the guys.

Thanks for keeping an eye out.
Yes, US9 / UK8.5.
Yes, not all that bad of an ending considering.
