Yes, it's Original Gangster, as in someone who's been around for a while and a day. And FC is partially right too, 'cause in certain parts of the US you can grab Old Gold brand cigarettes which are lovingly referred to as OG's since the branding almost literally implies the same status for a person or object.

And SK I'd apologize for threadjacking too but I bought some kicks so I figure that should entitle me to at least one jacking comment... no?

One last comment, I'm from Holland so I guess is OG not a common thing to say. I only know OG as Onroerend Goed which is the Dutch word for Real Estate

I think you'll find, when associated with trainers or the like, OG is original. As used by addidas to discribe an original colourway
Original Gangster would be used to diescribe a person if yoos a player or hippedy hoppedy type.
