Right!
That's "gorgeous sandy coloured labrador" Greg Mitchell, The Smell of Reeves and Mortimer was the funniest show ever to grace the airwaves if you ask me

Wasn't massively into them.
Too busy popping pills and dropping bits of paper to focus on the telly at the time.

They were bollocks IMHO. Much better with a bit of Rab Ceeeeeeeee Nesbitt.....
Aaaah, the old trips and telly days.....
I remember a mate of mine watching Sesame St, when they did that "number of the day" thing. They were doing 9 and he went absolutely mental every time they stopped, scream "TEN ya silly c*nts, TEN is next".....two minutes later "1, 2, 3 ,4 5, 6, 7, 8 aaaaaaaaand 9"....."aaaaaargh ya f*ckin stooopid eeejit, nae wunner ya live in a bin, cannae even cooont tae ten"!!!!!!!
Brilliant, Glaswegian madness in a nutshell, nothing is sacred, not even big yellow birds teaching weans to count....

Damn you scotswiss!
Stop outbidding me on super ape stars!
Only joking m8 - I won't bid anymore on the new pair thats been listed, as i don't want to put the price up 4 u & it was only a cheeky bid, just incase no one else bid on them - i want to keep my money now for the espresso/whites that nemesys is gonna hook me up with
Hope you get them for the cabinet m8!

Mate, you should have said and I've had backed off! Seriously, would prefer to wait for a UK 8 to keep things tidy but when these things come up I tend to grab them and worry what to do later!
Serious on this, I'll get my bid retracted if you want em?

Nah, it's kool m8 - like i said, i put in a cheeky bid - just on the off chance!
It just made me laugh, as you've outbid me b4!
I know you were after a mint pair for the cabinet & they're bound to go for more than i'm prepared to pay anyway (i'm a size 7.5 UK, so an 8 UK would be what i'd splash the cash on too) but i'm pretty skint atm, so if i see a pair come up, i'll pm you!
Thanx for the offer of retracting the bid though - your a true gent m8

Cool with me mate! I figure if I keep the 9's in pristine nick they might also be useful as a bargaining chip with a real collector (not just a cash driven Ebay seller) should they have something interesting to trade!
If ever you give me a heads up I'll owe you big time and if ever something comes up where you are strapped but definitely want em let me know, if it's a rare shoe then I'm not against the idea of buying em and keeping on ice for you......if you change your mind then I'm never gonna mind, rather one of us on here had em than someone else!

PS - Bobby, how about retracting your bid to push the price back down?
-
bobby dassler - 19-07-06
Well scotswiss firstly thanx again for your most generous offer of getting something if i'm desperate & keeping them on ice 4 me - it's very much appreciated m8!
I just logged in 2 ebay & went to retract my bid but then i saw the price these are up to!
Unfortunately, me retracting my bid wont make any difference now others have bid much more would it?
