as i made clear in the initial thread, i aint elitist and if a million people wanna join and drop knowledge then that is great for us and you Streak, but if we have a million selling us stuff and saying nowt in the process, how is that growth?

I've been feeling the same things, and I haven't been here that long, but long enough to notice the change in atmosphere round here. I'm a bit sick of guys JUST logging in to flog stuff, and users who register to post twice to see if their obviously fake kicks from sellers already on the list are real and then debating with the people who say they are fake. BUT I don't think there's a lot we can do about it without losing the friendly feeling that made me feel welcome to post in the first place.

How about, we create a kinda "Membership"

That allows access to the for sale wanted section?

What do you think, should be the criteria to become a "Member"?

I do not want to get rid of the for sale section, but i totally agree that we need to make it exclusive to ACTUAL people who come and stay ont his site.

We need to sort this ASAP, and ill action it straight away

I agree with all of that

A lot of people have just come on here trying to sell stuff - it's "Free advertising" for them isn't it?

I think once you become a "senior Member" then you can sell stuff.

And also put a limit on the minimum post that they can write otherwise you will just get a load of;

i think just make it easy ollie. 100 posts then you may sell.
the one post wonders will soon loose interest.
