I tend to use a bit of warm soapy water and a toothbrush, how are you doing it Pure?

The bathroom soap here at work tends to work pretty well with a toothbrush. Anyone want to post me some US12 soops I'll be happy to clean them for you.

Maybe I'm not being specific enough.
You know when there's really old dirt and discolouring on the sole.
I'd gone over these with soap and a toothbrush and though they were definitely cleaner, they were still dirty.
I'll put up some pictures in half hour or so.
Right, this is how they started.
I bought them about 5 years ago, secondhand and they were this dirty when they turned up.
I wasn't overly taken with them as, as we have seen, the true colours don't show up in photos and I thought they were bluer than they actually are.
Dug 'em out of my old flat and decided to clean them.
As they were with 6 year old dirt ground in.
After scrubbing the left hand side with a toothbrush and some hand cleanser for 5 minutes.
Then further cleaning the far left with the butt of the toothbrush and just a little soapy water for about 30 seconds.
Then cleaning the original dirty patch for about 1 minute with the butt of the toothbrush only and some soapy water, leaving the 5 minute scrub in the middle for comparison.
Definitely seems to get them cleaner for less effort, no chemicals and gets the edges clean without over soaking the uppers or endless scrubbing for the edge near the sole.
Still well happy with the discovery.
Do watcha like !

Hence the laughing.
Has anybody else got any really dirty Superstars they need to clean cos I want someone else to try this method and tell me it fucking rocks !
Use the wrong end of the toothbrush like you're scratching DICKHEAD's gas guzzler with a screwdriver, then turn it on it's side to do the bottom edge.
Push quite hard and for some reason, it gets the soles well clean.

so what your saying is take the tooth brush and hold it by the bristle end as though you were in prison and about to shiv someone cause you didn't want to be his bitch or he owed you cigarettes from a dice game or...
Hmmm, that seem's a bit crazy.

Not for chivving, more like the way you'd hold a lighter or push the button on a ball point pen, then scrub.
If you've got any really dirty beaters, try it.
It doesn't damage the rubber as it's meant to give and uses no chemicals which definitely do hurt rubber.
