Damn Marine, that really makes my "scrunched up old plastic bags stuffed inside" technique seem totally ghetto.Laughing

I've been having a go a cleaning the two pairs of daily beaters, so far I've found that mixing together

some bicarb
some vanish/oxy clean stain remover (powdered)
and some boiling water
take a sturdy bristle brush (toothbrush takes too long)
and some elbow grease

seems to do the trick!

ps - to stop the soops smelling, any good tips? - do those sneaker balls really work?

Just went back yesterday and they were marked a $9.95!!!!!! Shocked Think I bought 10 boxes. Hand crafted real cedar and they fit soops perfectly! Bought the first box to put them in my lux's.... keeps the leather nice, no creases. For a little under $100 I got 20 pairs. Now that's a deal! All my soops smell good and will never bend or crease
Cool

Marine,
Those are frackin awesome! One problem though, if I were to use these for all my kicks, even at $9.95 a box, that would still cost me $696.50 (I imagine that the shipping costes to get them sent to the UK would be quite a bit as well.!)

Is bicarb the same as baking soda? I should know this as I just took a chem class but i hate chemistry!
Just a lil heads up for anybody with supes that are a lil snug around the toes, I picked up a pair of those cheap looking two way shoe stretchers off the bay and tried them out last night and I think they actually work. I have some patents that were really tight around the toes, I stuck a stretcher in each and really cranked down on them and left em in overnight. When I tried em on this morning there is defiantly more room in em. I dont know if they will shrink back to normal but I will report back in a few days if they do!

$696.50 by $9.95 = 70.... So 70 X 2 pairs a box = 140 pairs of shoes

How is everybody cleaning the outsole and does it require nuff chemical cleaners cos I just discovered a way to clean them using nothing but some water, maybe a little hand cleanser and a toothbrush, without using the bristle end !
Personally, I'm well chuffed !

Cool
