Only worn my canvas twice, they hurt my little toe, they're not too small, just too narrow if that makes sense, I don't know if sizing up would help?

Thanks BB. I've been afraid to use them as they totally kill your feet if you are wearing wrong type of socks.

Are you saying use scotch tape and cut holes over the eyelets? I have one squeaky pair as well.

Take the laces out, tape up the back of the holes, pierce holes through tape, relace, wear, step in dog poop.
Sorted.
