What are the rarest Adidas you have seen? - cwgriswold - 08-09-07

I don't really have anything to add to this post, because I am newer to shoe collecting.

Just wondering what you guys have, or have heard of that is considered rare.

I would imagine that 10k would be rare, maybe 20k Not sure though, deferring to your expertise.

To be honest the value of the kicks means nothing to me as I have no intentions of selling any of the pairs
that i've paid decent money for otherwise I wouldn't have bought them in the first place.
A pair of expensive kicks is only worth that if someone wants them bad enough so
to the average person a pair of Bape camos or Top Secrets are a stupidly overpriced sneaker.
If I paid $800 US for a pair of consortium soops it's not an investment, it's my pair to death to be worn
and worn out, although I treat them right and keep them clean so hopefully that takes a long time!
That said the $4500 Top Secrets on FC are the most expensive i've seen at this point in time.

well, from what i recall, Snoop Dogg has '$50 socks and $100,000 shoes', though I've not seen them.

20k or 10k being distribution numbers not price tag

10,000 doesn't really qualify in the slightest as limited.
Try a couple of hundred or less.

I guess the 35th anniversary beastie boys edition is one of the rarest shoes out there. Only because they where given to the beastie boys members themself.
Maybe the most rarest adidas shoes?

If you're gonna bother with things like that then there have been endless pairs of samples that never made it into production.
You can file the Beastie Boys designed pairs in the same folder.

Sorry Mr. Pure, I didn't know what a limited run would be considered, hence the thread.

Those beastie boys are nice.

This thread makes me think of the movie "Pre" and Nike making that one pair of shoes for him off of a waffle iron thingy.

well, you could also include the Nikes they made for Turtle in season 3 of Entourage. I think they sold recently for USD9000.00

I'd rather have 2 pairs of the 35th pair.
