have anyone got any of these shoes? i've had some work at some factories (after "high school") and they always tell me to take off those superstars and jump in some safety shoes. therefore i've been thinking about buying a pair of those superstar safety shoes, but i'd like to know how they fit, and how good the protection actually is.

They are pretty tough with a reinforced toe acid resistant sole but I'm pretty certain there is no metal in the toe.

really? let's get a confirmation of that fact. pickyourshoes.com says "steel toe"

that's not correct, i ordered a pair from pickyourshoes, but there was no metal in the toe. I also bought them for work.

I thought the Phoenix's did have steel in em, felt like it when i tried a pair on down Portsmouth way. I suspect you guys are right though!

No steel but they are pretty tough.
I once dropped a dozen elephants on my foot and barely felt it.
