Just had someone contest a vid of mine on you tube. Think it is a racket as any monetising then switches over to whoever contests the copyright. Thing is I have permission and this guy is some French rapper. I noticed that he has done this with other vids using the same music. I guess they didn't have permission as I do, so didn't dispute. But that means any ad money generated will go to this fella who seems to be just saying he has the rights.

If you were given permission then surely he can't be entitled to anything other than anything that was previously agreed?

I was given permission by the artist. This artist who says he has the rights, isn't the artist! Ive told the artist.. but as the revenue is so small he isn't bothered. Still if you can pull this scam on enough it might be an earner?
