Is the tongue leather too? Looks like it from what I can see in your pic. Also, any info on materials and quality is much appreciated. What is used for the upper, the heel patch and the three stripes. Looks like soft leather overall and basket leather for the two stripes, is that correct?

They look really good. Great pic and a nice touch with the rubber engraving.

The upper is soft leather, like on most. The heel tab is leather unlike other 80s. The basketball material is leather similar to caviars. The snakeskin I think is synth, but without ripping it I can't be sure, as lots of the snake/croc stuff these days is leather with vinyl on top. The tongues are leather.

Lot of people talking about Pony Hair, it isn't, it is just hair-on hide. No ponies harmed LOL. Becoming a generic name these days as you guys stateside will know - Yeehaw!

I think the snakeskin is possibly the only thing I would say was iffy.

Seen some great pics of the black sole unit/shells.

FYI I am having some lasering done (ouch) and depending on setting up costs and sorting issues, my mate and I could offer a more bespoke ID feature for the soles. Logos etc. Am currently lasering 6 pairs. I'll post up more info if as and when.

Thay're really nice. Regular superstars from 1994. Stripes are "Carolina Blue" according to the box so I'm sure olskool will go ape shit I paid $2 for them! Shipping was $35 though Will refurb the sticky tongue when I get the time.
