Hello from Oslo!
#1

First of all I have to apologize my written English. It is not as good as it used to be a long time ago. Please have me excused!

I was born on an island outside Trondheim (the middle of Norway, and quite nowhere...) but moved to the suburbs of Oslo. Then moved to Oslo and have been living here since the late 80`s.

I came across your forum whilst surfing the web for information on the different kinds of Superstars models. Done some shopping on ebay, because the selection in Adidas Superstar in Oslo is, ehh, a kind of limited, and it seems quite nice to get some Superstars not seen in Oslo. I have 10 pairs and love them all.

I suffer from Multiple Sclerosis and find it easier to walk with my Superstars on, because they give my balance "support" so that I don`t trip that much.

I first came aware of the Superstars in Run DMC/Aeorosmith video of "Walk this way". I have now learned that they were called Superstar 1 (correct me if I am wrong). Then came the different color variations and as far as I know, they were the Superstar 2. They are the same models in shape.(?)

What I really would like to find out is how the Superstar 80s differ fraom Superstar 1 and 2?

I have trouble reading, so maybe I have overlooked the answer to this question in one of the posts in the forums, but is there anyone who can help me out?

I am looking forward to beeing a part of your forum!

Best regards,
zagabaa

welcome zagabaa, 80's fit pretty much like SS1's ( but sometimes you can go down half a size)

Hello Zagabaa. superstar 80`s have a shamfered sole unit. the shell has not got the x`s all over it. the styling is different. the stripes are further apart. superstar 1`s and 2`s differ slightly due to the tongue. 1 has no padding. 2`s has padding and sometimes metal eyelets. and the theres the vintage superstar..........Shocked

Welcome aboard zagabaa!

I've been in Oslo a few times. Living in Finland I can share the misery of having very limited selection of superstars in shops.

Hello Zagabaa and welcome to SSDB... As Grimmy here said we have the same situation over here. Luckily we have ebay and plenty of very nice and helpful SSDB members in UK Smile

Welcome Zag.
The ones they were wearing in the video were more likely Superstar 1's.

Welcome mate, a very good intro and your English puts a lot of our members to shame, and it's their first language!
