anyone actually used the adicolor markers?
I got given a set with the 2nd hand w2's I just bought, the pink and black were already used so I'm testing out the pink on an old gutter pair of supes, seems to cover pretty well
I've got an old pair of all white pro models I've been wanting to customize with my tee print logo but havent been game enough to do it lol

I've posted a few pics of pairs I have customised over the last couple of years, using these materials. Pics should still be on here.

I don't think there are any markers that are good for customising shoes. Definitely don't use Poscas. Unless you're the type who bombs the insides of busses and trains, they're pretty much useless.

The ones that came with the Adicolors are a rebranded pen that someone else makes and they work pretty well.
So long as you varnish over the top they're good to go.
Not as good as using proper leather paint but there you go.

Hmm, those do look pretty good actually.
But I like the way the write: 'Available in three nib sizes and a wide range of colours'.
Wide range of colours? Max. number of colours available according to their site is '8'

Well like i said im gonna spray em then use the pens to do details then use a finisher on em, im not a fan of paints really.
Thanks Streak fella, ill have a little look at them.
EDIT: I think ill buy a black, extra fine sharpie than some thicker colours then use a finisher by angelus, if i fook em, i can just re-spray.

Hi all, just joined up and immediately spotted this thread. I was wondering if the plastic dip thing works for anyone? Please let me know as I have some of those new chocolate perf shells with gold stiching and the sole is just too bright white, I need to calm it down with a complementary colour.
Also I have tried lots of paint markers with Angelus paints and varnishes and the best so far is Molotow, they're graf pens and they make them extra fine too, the paint is like real paint not like some of the others which are more like ink. Just make sure you let it dry properly then apply the finisher/varnish. Some of the others come off when applying the finisher as it acts as a thinner/medium. Will post some pics to show the pens working. Also the angelus paints are wicked, made my son some customs a year ago and he has worn them everyday climbing up shit like all three year olds and the paint has not peeled at all.
Hope this helps someone, and please let me know about the plastic dip if you have any insight.
Cheers

with out wanting to sound massively ignorant... whats the plastic dip?.. im guessing some kinda heated rubber/plastic that you dip your sneaks into?
cheers google: Process used to cover metal with plastic. The metal, usually in rod form, is heated in an oven until it is hot, then dipped into a container of plastic powder, which is blown with air in order to create an even spread. The plastic melts onto the metal and sticks to it. The coated metal is put back into the oven until the plastic becomes smooth and shiny, then removed and left to cool.
how does that work with the tread/grip?
