I'm so tempted to send them a letter regarding the fakery on ebay and ebay basically ignoring the reports we send them when we see a fake pair and letting the counterfeiting/fakers get away with selling.
There's simply no reason why adidas and ssdb can't work together to do something about the problems of fakes on ebay.
And i wouldn't mind knowing what adidas's stance on this issue is either tbh

They wouldn't answer you.
RE: authenticity check -
pokey27 - 18-09-09
Exactly and so the problem will always remain,And people will continue to get stung
RE: authenticity check -
mr.pure - 18-09-09
Indeed.
There's gotta be a reason why they don't try to get the fakes off Ebay but for the life of me I can't see it.

Nah me either!!we've got the solution and plenty of idea's how to at least make the situation better but like you say if there not interested nothing we can do.
But its the same with ebay really we've got a list of fake sites, sellers etc etc all ready for them,we've done the work for them...
All they have to do is refer to the list then check if those sellers have anything listed and delete there accounts then keep checking back for new sellers listed on the list!!
Or even bloody easier act when someone sends them a report on a fake arsed pair instead of just sending a courtesy email saying there loooking into it but not actually gonna do fook all.
Only idea i had to somehow combat that and lookout for ebayers who like ya said before probably don't even know the problem of fake superstars is on such a scale was to post/list a "adidas superstar legit checking service" on ebay in which the person buys said legit check for say 99p (cover listing fee's) non profit!! sends you the item number of the pair they are interested in and like it says on the label u check if there legit for them before they buy them and guide them here to the relevant threads "how to spot fakes","fake sellers list","fake websites"
I never got round to running this past olstar as i wanted to do it in conjunction with ssdb and some of the more senior members so for now like so many of the idea's we've had the
"SSDB ADIDAS SUPERSTAR LEGIT CHECKING SERVICE" will remain just that just an idea
P.S SORRY FOR THE ESSAY i know i'm not as active on ssdb as i was or even buying superstars even anymore. But this issue as always pissed me off

hi again judging by the response i got from adidas and the information they want it seems they go for the workshops rather than the rip off boys which is good but it always comes down to suply and demand
one gets closed another opens
i will send them off tommorow and fingers crossed they might send me some freebies
heres the email for uk for customer services
customercareuk@adidas.com
ps what about bad boys on ebay at the moment
RE: authenticity check -
mr.pure - 18-09-09
Like there's only one pair of Bad Boys on there at the moment !
There's too many pairs to go through so no point mentioning individual pairs.
We'd be here all day.

Good call Pokey, I've said exactly those things you hve mentioned.
Oone way to make adidas to sit up and notice is to get your MP involved, might work, might not.
Get him/her to write a letter to that brand protection manager. It seems to me adidas define "Brand Protection" where someone or a company is making a shed load of cash that could be made by adidas themselves, so some guy on ebay selling a few fakes isn't going to bankrupt them, hence why they don't really give a flying one.
