Thanks anyway mate.
P.s. HAve you seen my new thread for the fading IB's? Any ideas?
Cheers

Hey All,
Just got a pair of LQ's for £35 they seem ok but I'm sure that they are fakes, not to worried as didn't pay through the nose for them.
I was looking at the label on the box and comparing it to my NYC and Tokyo Cites boxes, it has the rounded corners and is pretty central. But my other half noticed that the top of the box looked different to the others, on closer inspection it seems that the "fakes" have all the printing done in bold and the orginals don't, this was mainly noticeable by the adidas symbol on the registered trade mark r and when you look at the Made in Indonesia writing.
I've now been and checked against all my other boxes, superstars, stan smiths and football boots and they are all writen in the normal type face.
I guess it is almost impssible to spot in photos I can't get a good enough pic...

If you get really close up to a fake box yuo can tell that the size information has been printed by a computer whereas on the real boxes it was clearly printed by traditional methods.

Congrats on your 1500th post Mr P

Did you write somewhere that sup's don't come with any packing inside the shoes?
And have you any LQ pointers?
-
mr.pure - 23-09-06
The LQ's are so painful to wear I haven't had 'em out of the box for ages.
Mostly just check the laces if they are even remotely limp then they are fake, they should be folded immaculately and fill the plastic wrapper.
There should be nothing inside any of the shoes.

Another thing i've noticed is that on quite a few fakes, the shoe is 'sinking' into the sole.
-
mr.pure - 30-09-06
The only thing that's "sinking" is the quality of your observations !
Explain Mr Effel !

Effel - 30-09-06
If you look, instead of the the line on the heel going straight up at a 90 degree angle, Usually on the left side of the shoe, the angle is far more acute, and on the right side oif the shoe, more obtuse.

Love the description.
I'll have a look.
