A cure for yellowing soles. -

Might not be the best place to put this but I've cured the yellowing sole/shell thing whilst on my way to finishing a pair of customs.
I've tried removing yellowing in the past with some pretty hardcore chemicals but it's never worked.
Got to wondering how deep the yellowing went and with that in mind set about this pair with a small round Diamond bit in my "Dremel".
Keep the bit moving and you don't damage the patterning or make any new obvious marks.
Changed to a pointy bit for the final pass as the round hadn't quite gotten into all the nooks and crannies.
Pretty fucking happy with the result.
One section done.
Before.
After.

I've got one of these.
Some Dremel kits come with the Diamond burrs but individually the can be bought for £6 or so.
You could probably buy a set on Ebay for about £15.
They look like this.

Looks expensive! You could start a 'yellowing removal service'!
Have you tried it on the shell of a supe 1 or II?

Not yet but I see no reason why it wouldn't work.

My application has already been sent off, entitled "Funding request for the eradication of the scourge of yellowing in all firms of dope footwear".
I asked for £40 and a large meat feast pizza.

Nice work P!
What is that diamond bit made of? Looks kinda rough/abrasive....and are you using the sides of it, or the tips? Likely both methinks....time to break out my Dremel...

That is a fucking mental co-inky-
Pure.
I got myself a Dremel-type tool kit recently (not made by them but the same thing) came with whole bunch of attachments, including some round wire brush ones. I gave this a try on the midsole of an old fucked test pair of IIs that I have, and like the diamond bit, if you're not too hard on them, it seems to take of the surface whilst retaining the pattern. Need to try it on the shell but I imagine it will work the same.

Great solition P. I use stuff from HG to get mold of your bathroom ceiling. It holds bleach but way more than when you buy a bottle of bleach. Leave it on there for an hour and redo it if neccesairy. I have fucked up a lot of clothes doing this though
But hey, supes are more important.
