These are nice, I didn't see them back then, or I would have picked them up...?

I only think they're around 3-4 years old or so, but I could be wrong (it does seem right they're from the 60 year anniversary looking at that label though). I think they came out around same time as those Def Jam SS2s. Can't remember what the model was called, it was sort of a modified SS2 because of the extra stripe around the sole (the Def Jams had that too).
They had them in the McArthur Glen outlet when I visited London a few years back. They're pretty decent in the flesh
Superstars are indeed super...

i just noticed that the "bones" behind the skull are baseball bats, and, the top of the skull looks like the seams on a baseball, and, the "stripes" look similar to the seams on a baseball or the "laces" that hold the fingers together in a baseball glove. hmmm, wonder if it was in relation to some type of record being broken in USA's Major League Baseball? like the homerun record being broken by Mark McGuire or later by Barry Bonds (two cheaters using steriods to tarnish America's pasttime)?? just some thoughts
ok. got curious if they were related to Major League Baseball. found this on some website... "This baseball inspired update of the classic Superstar from adidas Originals is exclusive to JD and features a black nubuck upper with tonal cross stitch three stripe branding on the side rubberised piping around the outsole, an embossed printed badge on the tongue that marks 60 years of making adidas footwear with the words '60 year tradition of smashing records' and a printed trefoil on the heel piece plus cross stitch detailing on the back." http://www.the-shoe-store.co.uk/Supersta...perstar-PT

what is that logo on the side of the heel?
a baseball inspired shoe is cool wish that i would've seen them when they came out. diggin' the black ones a bit more than the whites, but both are nice.

If Guy242 can post the Art No for these, chances are that the Art No for the black version will be the exact same, with the last digit going one up or one down
