"Re-shaping" an NB 1500

I'd never have the balls to try such a thing. Those of you that own them know that the toe of the newer releases (some of the UK-made ones are better) is much rounder (from the side) than the OGs.

Indeed Mike, the newer 1500s (Flimby made or not) don't have as nice a shape as the older ones - pretty much why i don't pick em up anymore...if you're speaking to a sole swap, yeah thats a headache to try...personally never did one, but i knew a fella who commissioned a shoemaker to do a swap and it turned out pretty good...then again he used the older upper (of the Chianti 1500) with that of a newer 1500 sole...BUT then decided to sell it...never asked why...you can't really reshape the toe box otherwise without actually changing the whole shoe...
