Yeah I feel ya, they both came up on the bay at the same time and I was um'ing for a few days till someone made the decision for me I suppose.

About an hour per shoe, unpick the inside first then the outside should just pull away in one thread.

Lurk, do you have a pic of the unions without stitching - are the holes visible?

You need to moisten the suede with a wet flannel for the holes to heal up.
