Great pickup for a vintage pair. 
Is it me or is the shell more "chunkier" on the pre-2000 supes?

yes, they are chunkier so to speak. the "slope" on the toe is more abrupt if that makes sense.

i had to do some scrubbing on the white stripes and the tongue and got some flaking as well.
