Fake D-Mop?
#1

Hello to all you folks in the know.

Can you please help me with some clarification regarding 35th Anniversary D-mop Consortium Series 07.

As far as I can see, the labels inside the tongues have different serial numbers/art numbers. They appear to be well made, and I cannot see a definite 'tag' on the heels. However a previous forum thread suggested that the stripes should be almost the same colour as the rest of the shoe, the ones I have appear to be lighter, although they are fairly old & have been worn, so maybe just faded?

Also does anyone know if the outer material is supposed to be suede or leather? I can't find any solid descriptions on the web anywhere.

And also, should the D-Mop emblem be embossed into the leather or more like a print?

I'm asking because i've been clearing out some old clothes etc & found a pair in the bottom of the wardrobe, given to my boyf a few years ago. The insoles have been removed so I can't check print. I want to clarify if they are fake or not before I throw them out.

Thanking you in advance for any info you can offer.

I concur, the fact they have different art numbers and one shoe is from November 04 and the other is from February 05 also would hint they are fake.

Morning all! Thank you very much for your comments.
I must say that I have learned a lot & from this moment forth I shall be wise in the ways of fakespotting.

All I knew is that they were a pair of trainers taking up space in the wardrobe & I was just going to flog them on ebay, its only when I started to google the description so I could list them that I noticed they were apparently a "limited edition". So then of course I needed to check it out as if they were fake there was no way I wanted to put them on ebay. if they were not genuine.

So i'm glad that I got educated. Saved me a whole lot of grief, wouldnt want to have ended up on your Ebay Blacklist now would I!!!

So there you have it, I thought I knew all there was to know about "clits" *snigger*, owning one and all, but now I am older and wiser.

I thank you for allowing me to roam freely amongst y'all for this short time, and who knows this may not be the last you see of me! I genuinely appreciate your help.

Lots of love!
