Happy Birthday Licensed to Ill!
#1
The Beastie Boys rap debut was released on this day 25 years ago! As a young rocker I was never much into rap music, but loved this LP first time I heard it at my big brothers house. It was the Led Zeppelin drums that got me at first. I've stayed a fan ever since all though I lost track off them after Hello Nasty.

Took this photo years later at some early 90's tour. One of my favourite live pics allthough it's slightly out of phocus Cool

I would wear them and grab people in the street and say "look how fucking sweet these kicks are!" (Sneakerphile)

Nice pic mate..
But the album, the caged girls, the vw badges. Sorry guys but they were the original hip hop boy band Laughing

Just waiting now for the full force of the backlash. Wink
Oh ok... I'll just fall into line, no controversy this morning then.

Yeah that photo rocks PS...I don't think its out of focus at all...in fact, it could've easily been a live album cover...

...for the MCA solo project. Very Happy

Great photo. Liked the album but always HATED "Fight For Your Right..."

I remember when they came out and did ONE song (Let It Flow) on the Raising Hell tour in the summer of '86. People were like, "Who the fuck are THESE guys?!" I don't even think they were on the bill for that show.
