Hi,

Right i will tell you the full story and if anyone can help with my mission to find out the name of this model trainer that would be massively helpful!!

Right for the past 5-6 years i have always been a KSwiss fan (Yes yes i know! Sorry to swear on this forum for saying that) and the time had come to purchase a new pair of trainers, i'm the sort of person to wear a pair till they are almost dead, which tends to be about 2 years then go get a new pair.

So off i pop to JD sports in the Highcross in Leicester (The old store not the new one that has just opened) as they had a sale on to see what was there.

My eyes where instantly attracted to a pair of Adidas trainers, now this is a new experience for me as I have only ever seen 1 other pair of superstars that have ever stood out so upon seeing these i knew i wanted them, only problem, it was 2 weeks till pay day! So off i went hoping they would still be there when i got paid.

2 weeks past and payday arrived! so off i popped into Leicester to pick up these trainers, only problem.... THEY HAD GONE!!!!! Sad

I asked behind the counter and got nothing more than "I'm sorry we have sold out and i cannot remember what they where called"

So this brings me to here! as i haven't got a pic of the trainers in question here is a description,

They are a white pair of Superstar's with bright red plastic covered strips down the outside of the foot and a blue and white square plastic design stripe down the inside of the foot and thats about all i can remember about them.

Any help would be blooming fantastic as i really really really want these trainers!

uh-oh.....

I'll be polite and say you're unlikely to get any help - we don't take too kindly to one hit wonders trying to get info then buggering off. That's what google is for.

Understand your concern if not a little surprised, i've been on google for the past 3 days trying to find out about these trainers and got no where but what i did get was constantly being pointed towards this site in all my search results.

As an active member of quite a few other forums ranging from my local rugby team (The mightly Leicester Tigers!!) to things like Pistonheads via Motorola owners and crackberry forums this is the 1st time i have ever been advised that i or anyone else is unlikely to get a response from just being "one hit wonders"

Nothing against you MJF as you have been kind enough to give me this warning but this general attitude, if true, doesn't seem very inviting to me, i do hope my opinion is proved wrong and that the members of superstardb.com welcome all new members, not just myself with open arms and help to build up there interest in these fantastic trainers
Right, little bit of success, having spent the last hour or so reading through the treads and posts on here i think they may have been a pair of Adidas Superstar Adicolor's of some shape form or description but cannot find the ones which come with the stripes i described above

thats some mighty fine ass kissing mjsracer but im afraid mjf has hit the nail on the head you dont have any superstars from what i can gather you only buy a pair of trainers every two years and you give a very poor description of the pair you want white with some red and a bit of blue

I can't help you with the superstars you are looking for, they don't sound right nice to be honest, but look around a bit there are thousands of sweet pairs that are far,far better than these ones you must have, go on, have a look.

Footlocker..... scratch red plastic covered strips down the outside of the foot and a blue and white square plastic design stripe

adicolors is my best guess...

Yeah your right Cracky, there are quite a few to choose from, never realised there where quite so many varieties of superstars about! Has to be said though I am quite liking the Adicolor ranges with the stripe inserts, can change them about abit like my last pair of kswiss with the moving stripes.

ihatebono - I only by trainers every 2 years or so as i don't wear them every day due to my job and i normally buy fairly neutral or classic looking trainers

How dull must that place be? Whatever next, a form dedicated to owners of Kenwood kettles? What about a forum for people with Hotpoint washing machines, that would be amazing. Fuck off. I can't wait for trainers to be unfashionable again.
