Well, my father-in-law invented the synthesizer with Bob Moog back in '64 and my wife's whole family are musicians. If I can't answer the question someone on the other end of my telephone can. Smile

Do you play, Nik, or you just messing around/trying it out?

No i played piano for quite a few years through high school, Kind of fell away in my final year and with uni... but always meaning to get into it.
Problem is, typically, i get inspired really late at night and want to practice, but cant go belt away on the upright piano downstairs.
Want to get back into it, get back into some jazz improv where i left off, and maybe some band work with a few friends eventually. One of my best mates is an insane drummer (funk/jazz)

Really like what the Korg SV1 has to offer, and much cheaper than any Nords and Rolands...

Ps thats incredible. What a history you have Smile

My brother-in-law is a composer in LA and has tons of gear. I will email him today and see what he has to say.

He was more the musician, Bob Moog, the engineer. It was my father-in-law's idea to have a keyboard interface on the prototype. Bob wanted it to be all switches and dials because he was afraid average people would be able to play "tunes" on it. Smile

The stories he has are amazing and the people that he's met and worked with are just crazy. Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Keith Emerson, Quincy Jones, Herbie Hancock. The list goes on. He's introducing Thomas Dolby at Moogfest this weekend.

My friend once said that he was "geek royalty". Smile

T'other day I had a Blue screen of death for the first time since forever, happened while i was playing chess online. There isa dump file created but not sure what I can do to find out what why I got the BSOD and steps to make sure it doesn't happen again.

I believe I can download a tool to read the .dmp file?

Any ideas/steps to take on this?

TIA
